My therapy room

Frequently asked questions

What is the length and frequency of our sessions?

Sessions will last for 1 hour and together we can decide how many sessions we feel you may require. This can be short-term work with between 4 – 6 sessions, or longer-term. Generally these take place weekly.

I am flexible with appointment times and can offer daytime and some evenings.

If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

How much is the session fee?

My fee is £50 - £60 per session and payable on the day by bank transfer, or cash if you prefer.

Some concessions are available for students and those who are unwaged and I am happy to discuss this by phone.

How do you work?

I do not believe that there is one model or approach in counselling or psychotherapy that is suitable for everyone, and therefore I work in an integrative way tailoring my approach to your unique individual needs. My training has enabled me to develop a comprehensive theoretical knowledge and understanding of a range of psychotherapy approaches and systems including Psychodynamic and Existential Psychotherapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Gestalt, Humanistic and Focusing approaches.

I work in a way that is sensitive to an individual’s religious and sexual orientation as well as cultural and ethnic origins.
